005_EVDS is a selection of work for “Container” – project from foundation year students in the Environmental Design Program at the University of Manitoba. Projects/containers are the result of observation and reflection on our environment. They inform how we function and use our personal environments, and how we create a more relevant interface between a user and an object. Students were introduced to issues of scale, materiality, detail, and fabrication. Emphasis was placed on the relationship between meaning and making. Container offers design investigation through working methods, production processes, techniques, and material study.
